(I grew up speaking both Hebrew and English at home, and still speak both Hebrew and English with my family.) The descriptions for he-3, he-2, and he-1, by contrast, talk about ability to ''contribute'' in Hebrew, which in turn depends on literacy. My literacy in Hebrew is quite poor. At the time I chose my Babels, I felt that he-2, ability to contribute at an intermediate level, came closest.
